“She made ordinary days feel like something worth keeping.”

Margaret, known to everyone as Peggy, was a schoolteacher, a keen gardener and the warm centre of a large and happy family. She spent almost thirty years teaching at the same primary school, and she is remembered for her patience, her open front door, and a pot of tea that was always on.

We warmly invite you to join us as we celebrate Peggy's life and give thanks for all she gave. Your presence would mean a great deal to the family.

Peggy taught two of my children and half the street besides. Every one of them remembers her kindness. A wonderful teacher and an even better neighbour.
